  • Both of his children attended Macy Elementary School and Rancho-Starbuck Intermediate School and graduated from Sonora High School
  • Former Planning Commissioner and Parks Commissioner in La Habra Heights
  • Served as Board of Trustees member, La Habra City School District (1984-1988)
  • Member, North Orange County Bar Association (Board of Directors, 1989-1994) Orange County Bar Association; State Bar of California
  • Chapter Chairman, Ducks Unlimited
  • Former Member, Lowell Joint Education Foundation
  • Re-Elected in 2014

Fred W. Schambeck
  • Member, Lowell Joint School District Board of Trustees, Currently V.P. (2018)
  • Board Member since 1983, currently 35 years on the Board. (2018)
  • Up for re-election in 2020.
  • B.A. The University of Southern California (USC), Spanish and Latin American Studies.
  • M.B.A. Pepperdine University
  • Speaks, reads, and writes fluent Spanish. (Formerly lived in Mexico)
  • Has lived in the LJSD since 1969.
  • All three daughters attended Macy Elementary School and Rancho-Starbuck Intermediate School.  Ultimately, all three daughters graduated from La Habra High School.
  • Currently has four grandchildren attending schools in the Lowell Joint School District.  One at Macy Elementary, two at El Portal Elementary, and one at Rancho Starbuck Jr. High
  • Founding Member of the Lowell Joint Education Foundation (LJEF).
  • 1996: La Habra Area Chamber of Commerce "Citizen of the Year Award". *
  • 2015: Lowell Joint Education Foundation (LJEF) Dedication Award
  • 2016: City of La Habra "Legacy Award".
  • Creator/Designer of the Rancho-Starbuck Library-Media Center for students.
  • Pioneer in implementing "Computer Technology" in the Lowell Joint School District
