We want to give a warm welcome to all the TK and Kindergarten parents who are new to our district. Thank you for coming to the orientation meeting and learning about all the great things our district has to offer including our new Dual Language Academy for our TK - 2nd graders!

7th Graders will begin school on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020 and the rest of the students will begin Wednesday, August 12th, 2020. Any questions, please contact the District Office at 562-943-0211.

Measure O will be on the upcoming ballot for the March 3, 2020 election. At this time Lowell Joint School District has 3 schools in Orange County and 3 in Los Angeles County. Currently, almost all of our students go on to attend schools in the Fullerton Joint Union High School District which is located entirely in Orange County. Although LJSD has a clear connection to Orange County Department of Education (OCDOE), LJSD is under the oversight and jurisdiction of the Los Angeles County of Education (LACOE). This Measure will give OCDOE oversight and jurisdiction over LJSD which will save the District $250,000 annually. This savings could then be redistributed for other purposes within the school district, like curriculum development and instruction for our students.
