Welcome to Rancho-Starbuck
Intermediate School. We serve 825 students in the 7th and
8th grade and are a part of the Lowell Joint School
District. We have a traditional, child centered philosophy
with a very involved parent community.
Rancho-Starbuck provides many opportunities for our
students to get involved. We offer intramural sports,
enrichment field trips; Drama Club, Chess Club, Art Club,
Jazz Band, Drum line, Student Council, AVID and our service
club called “STARS”. The students at Rancho are
also exposed to the latest in technology while receiving an
education that is grounded in traditional, proven methods
of instruction. At the same time, the staff places a high
priority in developing responsible citizens through our
Character Education and REACH programs. REACH is an acronym
for Responsibility * Effort * Attitude * Character * Honor.
Through this program, we emphasize the importance of each
of these themes and we recognize students for their
achievement and good citizenship.
We are proud of our students’ achievements, both
academically and extracurricular. Our motto is: “If
it is to be, it is up to me!” Our students’
success is important to all, we set high standards and our
students achieve them. This year our staff looks forward to
work with students, parents and the community to create
another outstanding and successful year.
