The Macy staff celebrates our
achievement on the 2004 California Standard’s Test
and are proud to report a score of 875 on our Academic
Performance Index this year.
The success of Macy’s program is attributed to the
dedication of all individuals who work with our students
daily, that is, teachers, support staff, parents,
guardians, grandparents, family friends, tutors, and
instructional-based day care facilities.
At Macy School, we believe that each day should be a
learning experience for every child and we recognize that
learning must happen across environments with every adult
pitching in to help a child develop to his or her fullest
intellectual, academic, social, emotional, and moral
potential. When local families and community members
at large support the teachers and staff at a school like
Macy, the ‘sky is the limit’. Since our
campus is fortunate enough to have this support, today Macy
is one of the best performing schools in the state of
California.
The Macy School mascot is the American Bald Eagle.
When one thinks of this beautiful bird of prey an image of
strength, stature, and unwavering courage comes to
mind. The bald eagle is also our national symbol and
serves to remind us that we have important jobs to do here
as teachers. It is for the sake of our great country
that we must roll up our sleeves and ensure that children
are well instructed and well prepared for the world we live
in. When we are strong and courageous, the children
are strong and courageous. When we set high standards
and then expect the children to meet them, they are better
prepared for success.
Macy will stay the course of excellence today and everyday!
